103 Coffee occupies the resident coffeehouse slot at APW Bangsar, taking over the space that PULP held, and pairing industrial warehouse architecture with an art-studio feel. It is the Bangsar outpost of a roaster with twelve years behind it.
The room does a lot of the work. Soaring steel-framed ceilings, a constellation of bare bulbs hung from looped cables, and mint-green walls broken up by pops of colour — closer to a gallery than a cafe, and an unusually early one. The baristas start brewing shortly past sunrise.
