ONO Specialty Coffee & Matcha is opening a second café on Medan Pasar, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's city centre, bringing its specialty coffee and matcha from SS2 to the ground floor of No. 22.

ONO began in SS2, Petaling Jaya, in December 2021, built on one idea: specialty coffee and specialty matcha, side by side, each taken as seriously as the other. Its co-founders are Shaun Liew, a two-time Malaysia Brewers Cup champion (2017 and 2019) who also runs Curate Coffee Roasters, and Syun, a co-founder of Niko Neko Matcha. In 2025 the SS2 café was ranked ninth in the world and second in Asia in The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops.

At the SS2 original, the ONO menu started with specialty coffee, matcha, signature drinks and Japanese sandos, and has since grown to hot food and desserts. Check @story.of.ono for what the Medan Pasar café will pour and serve.
