Plugs Cafe, Petaling Jaya
Plugs is a work-friendly café in SS4, Petaling Jaya, open 9am to 6pm with plenty of power sockets, serving kimchi chicken bibimbap and salmon rice bowls, then a rooftop "Unplugged" session until 11pm.
The name is the brief. Plugs is set up for remote workers and anyone who needs a seat, a coffee and a socket that actually works, without hunting under tables for an outlet. Red conduit pipes run across the walls between the switches, and desks line up beneath the windows. The house line on the wall says it plainly: no guilt about staying, no rush to leave.
In the evening it changes character. From 6pm, the Unplugged session moves up to the rooftop with its own night menu, running until 11pm.
What to Order at Plugs
Before opening, Plugs listed kimchi chicken bibimbap, salmon rice bowls and penne carbonara — filling one-bowl meals that work beside a laptop. Details of the night menu had not been published at the time of writing, and no prices were available.
If you are after a work-friendly café in PJ, a place to work remotely in SS4, or a laptop café in Petaling Jaya where charging your phone is not a negotiation, Plugs was designed for exactly that.
