Ricebar is a modern kopitiam on Level 2 of Menara UOA Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, serving crispy chicken rice bowls, curry laksa, pasta, tong sui and Ipoh white kopi, with mains at RM16.90 to RM19.90. It opens Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm.

The menu is short and the same every day: seven rice bowls, three noodle dishes, four pastas, a few kopitiam sweets and a board of kopi and teh. Five of the rice bowls come with a pickled onion salad and steamed rice, while the Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang comes with sambal, egg, ikan bilis, peanuts and cucumber. On the kopitiam side there is Ipoh white coffee pulled fresh, hot or iced, Portuguese tarts baked through the day, and bowls of tong sui from RM4.90.

What to Order at Ricebar

Ricebar names the Buttermilk Chicken (RM16.90) as its most-ordered dish: crispy chicken in a creamy curry-leaf sauce, with pickled onion salad and steamed rice. The menu marks two more rice bowls as signatures - the Sweet & Sour Chicken (RM17.90), with bell peppers and a charred corn salad, and the Kam Heong Chicken (RM16.90), a dry, aromatic curry. Have it with an Ipoh White Coffee (RM4.90 hot, RM5.40 iced) or the signature Cham, and finish with a Portuguese Tart (RM4.20).
